Why not go on the National Express? It takes a bit longer but it might be cheaper. I went to Taunton (rtn) from Heathrow the other week (the coach started at Victoria) for £20.50 with a coachcard.

I would use the National Rail enquiries web-site, just put that in a google search and use the find fares section. I recently went to Winchester and found a cheap fare this way, and bought a Senior railcard on the day, saved 30% on an already cheap fare. You can probably do better by buying your ticket a month in advance and do use a Senior railcard, it will soon pay for itself.

OR

coach from bridgwater to victoria at 15h50, adv single £8, journey 4h.
Taunton is a direct service from Paddington that costs, as mushroom25 says, £11.50.

Bridgwater is, as has also been said, £11. But that involves a change at - guess - Taunton.

So you get on the same train from Paddington, get off at the same place, then get on another train for a further ten minutes and it's 50p cheaper. There seems to be precious little logic to this.

All prices supplied in this case by The Trainline.
