That's probably why my palpitations started in my mid-twenties. I first got them when I was pregnant, and I think I've been anxious ever since! I am assuming that you have no underlying medical condition and that you are not on any medication.

Almost certainly, those moments of "flutters" are of no underlying medical significance, particularly if there is no associated pain or shortness of breath.

If it were me, i would watch and wait over a 6-8 week period........that is me.

I had a ekg done and it showed nothing but im still worried... I have had 3 in like a month.. they only last couple of seconds.. and I always have shortness of breath bc of my anxiety... Ive had it for years.. Im just worried something is wrong
I used to get them regularly from when I was in my mid-twenties until I was well into my 40's. Then I stopped drinking coffee and have not had them since. They were quite scary sometimes.
Worth getting checked out just in case.
Do you drink a lot of coffee ? Tea ? Cola ?
Oh just to say I get the occassional one still, usually accompanied by the feeling I need to take a deep breath. Typical male, not had it checked. Probably nothing.
Similar to dianahoohar; I experienced palpitations regularly but they stopped when I stopped taking caffeinated products.
I think you have perhaps told us what is probably the reason for your palpitations - anxiety. You say you have suffered from anxiety for years. I wouldn't worry too much at all.

I suffer from them from time to time and I am an extremely anxious person.

Lay off the caffeine harleysmommy (including tea), might well improve your anxiety as well.

I think once you become a mother you are very aware how important being well is, both to look after yourself and your children. If you're not worried about yourself, you're worried about them. We must learn how to 'chill out'. Yours anxiously, xxx
