We saw a tighly entwined pair of frogs on the patio this morning, so chucked them back in the pond, and an hour later we have a lovely big dollop of frogspawn. Best Mothers day present ever. AH!

It's different, but great!
Isn't it amazing how the spawn comes with it's inbuilt 'jelly crystals' that makes it swell in water.
I wish i had a nice garden with wildlife!

One day x

oh crikey, sorry for delay in responding. Think I'm going a bit senile haha.

It really is good watching these frogs in the pond, their getting up to all sorts of tricks. Croak Croak and riding on each others backs. 3 pairs of them mating today and their could b more. I just love them. Our pond is empty of fish at the moment, and still deciding whether to fill it in or not, but keep putting it off because of us losing these lovely frogs x
I think wildlife ponds are much nicer than ponds with ornamental fish pusskin. Concentrate on your froggies. A heron keeps stealing next door's goldfish. Last year they were all eaten by an Otter that we think had lost his directions!!!
There is a big fat toad living under a pot near my back door. The biggest one I have ever seen!!!
awww, share this youtube with kermit

ha ha thats terrific tamborine, amazing, thanks for that.
Lottie I love toads too , as much as I love frogs! Would love one by my back door, or inside my back door lol.
I would love a wild life pond, and maybe we may even build one yet, as we both have this love of frogs, even more so than the fish.

Popping out now to Model railways shop in Chelmsford. back later , have a good day everyone xx

p.s. Lottie, a heron stole our last 2 lovely (smallish) fish a short while ago.
We only spotted him as he stood on the edge of the pond before flying off.
Little rotter!
That's wonderful! It's so exciting, watching them develop.
lol that clip, serves him right for teasing him
LOL, we frogs never forget our friends!
