So sad to hear that Barry Humphries is pulling the plug on Dame Edna Everage. I used to love her TV series. Which were your favourite among the celebrity interviews and encounters that Dame Edna had?

i thought dame Edna what great in her time but seeing barry hupmhries being Edna in the last couple of years looks like he's lost the quick banter Edna was famous for, shame but we all get old,

Fingers crossed his other character, Les Patterson, is being retired too.

Occasionally Dame Edna could raise a smile but I have to switch off when Les Patterson appears.

Can't agree how he ever made a living off "her" is beyond me.

Saw him as her in panto at Wimbledon last December - seemed very dated and had lost the banter - most of it went over the kids heads too - dont think it was a great success (they had Pamela Anderson and The Hoff the years before) so not surprised he has decided to call it a day. Hated Les Patterson and always turned off when he was on

Don't think that sort of humour appeals any more. Although it never has appealed to me. Les Patterson is just creepy and slimy - could never watch 'him'.
