hi

a friend of mine is wanting to transfer some film, recorded on tape, on her cannon camcorder,
can it be done by using a usb cable and uploading it to the computer, or is it more complicated than that?

thank you to anyone who might be able to offer any help or suggestions.

The documentation that came with the camcorder will tell you how to do this.

If they have not got it they can probably download the documentation from the Canon web site.

thanks vhg,
i think she said she's looked at that, but couldn't see how to do it.
i'm just trying to have a look online and someone has mentioned buying a 'dazzle' gadget to get old cassette style camcorder tapes to dvd.
i thought/hoped just a usb cable would do it! lol
If i is the old style tapes ex- video vcr ones you need to play them on a vcr player and record onto dvd disc. I am busy doing all my home videos this way just now. You can do it on computer but you still need to play them and record onto hard drive then burn to dvd.
do mine through Tv...using connector cable direct onto disc or vhs
