No, it contains too much salt for such a young baby.
Hi Caila,

I wouldn't give a 5 month old readybrek just yet. I'd stick to the baby rice which is easily digestable.
Try something like baby rice or fruit puree first. You also get baby cereals that you add hot water to. That may be more along the lines of what you're looking for.

Well I bought quite a few tins of baby porridge but when it gets to room temp it goes really watery so don't think my little one is getting enough so I might have to open another tin?
Don't worry about the consistency Caila. Just make it up according to the instuctions and baby should be fine. I think it should be a bit watery anyway as it will be baby's first solids.
My kids started off on Farleys rusks mixed with warm milk and baby rice.

Thanks guys I was just a bit scared coz of what happened to the 3 month old baby years ago I mean it wasn't the readly brek but don't think it helped. X
If you have any of the microwave porridge sachets, you can use that instead of baby rice - it is usually finely milled oats and the normal flavour should have nothing added - just make it up with babies usual milk.
