Tip for calculator on iphones, ipods etc

Found out this today, and thought I would pass it on. When you are using the calculator, on an iphone or ipod touch, if you turn it on its side it becomes a scientific calculator. Perhaps you all knew this already but it was news to me.

And if you put it to your ear you can use it as a phone lol

I use my ipod as a phone (on facetime and via viber when in a wifi area) which is a real bonus and no bills ever!

I was helping a friends son with his maths homework this morning Sunny Dave, and we needed to find a square root. When he told me I was amazed.
you can add/subtract percentages on the scientific calculator.....that makes me Einstein !

most laptops have it too just dont turn them on side

Well done that lad. I think its put on its side as only a school boy would work it out, but there again only a school boy needs a scientific calculator.
