Hi.

I sold an item on ebay around the 20th of January and still havent been paid. I stupidy sent the item first as I got confused and thought they had paid. I have sent them 3 or 4 emails but no reply. We had good correspondence before she won the bid. What can I do? If I report her to ebay, can she not just set up a new account using a different email?

it does say don't post the items until you have been paid! i don't know where you stand! x
Ebay don't pay you, the individual who bought it does. If it was relatively inexpensive i'd chalk it down to experience and remember to check paypal befpore you post anything otherwise send her a recorded delivery letter to her postal address asking for the money within 7 days. Not a fat lot else you can do really, because ebay won't get involved with this since it's your mistake.
A lesson learnt here Charlie, ALL people behind the screen are not as honest as their feedback states.
Why cant you start an unpaid item dispute - thats exactly what it is. They might decide a strike is not worth it and pay up.
Go to the resolution centre and report non payment, she will get a strike and you will get your listing fees back. That's the best you can do.
So... OK... two things... First, when you open your home page on eBay look to the top right hand of the page and click on 'Customer Support' followed by clicking on 'Resolution Center' from the drop-down menu. Then, on the right upper side of that page under box titled 'Help" click on "What to do when buyer hasn't paid". Out of that select one of the courses of action.

More importantly, from the "Related Help Topics" on the right hand side of the same page, (Resolution Center) click on 'Using Unpaid Item Assistant". From there you can set up an automatic course of action provided by eBay at the time frame you select to open an unpaid item case. Very helpful and useful. Just don't ship anything until you've received verifiable payment and (in my belief) only from Pay Pal. Good luck...

Hi thank you very much for all your helpful comments. I have now contacted ebay and they are dealing with it. Yes, definitely lesson learned, but actually thought they had paid. I had 28 active listings (free listing weekend!), and am new to selling so got a bit muddled. Idiot. Anyway, if I can get it sorted, great, if not, lesson learned. Oh, NOX - I meant to ebayer hasnt paid me yet. Typo error. Thanks again peeps.
Charlie, If I may, when your selling check the feed back on the buyer, but as said that does not always work as there are a few FLY PEOPLE out there, whatever you do, do not send until pay pal has received the funds, myself I always send by recorded mail I find the buyer can not say they have not received the goods.
