Where have they gone ?

The avatars on AB have all disappeared ( as I was on on the site ). All I can see is a box with a little red cross, saying 'avatar image'. I can still see the Mr. Blobby figures of AB ers that don't have a avatar.
Please keep any advice simple, not too hot with computer technology.

I'm guessing it's linked to the fact that I can connect to some websites, but not others. I can log on here (obviously lol), but it is very slow. I can log on facebook, no problems with speed here, but I can't log on ebay or MSN.
I'm guessing that there's a server (or whatever!!) down somewhere.
Aren't all the avatars on here linked to another website (Gravatar or something like that ??) - maybe the server connecting that is down as well ??

Ooooh ebay is back, avatar is back - problem is fixed (whatever the problem was lol).
