Hi driverdale 1,

I can't answer your question exactly but I've enquired about All-Inclusive before. I've spoken to a few people who have travelled on that basis, especially when I have taken another option at the same hotel. I haven't yet heard a good word about All-Inclusive, although I'm sure there are many good hotels that many people have been happy with.

Obviously hotels are trying to make as large a profit as possible and they will save money where they can. It seems that once a hotel has been paid in full before you arrive, then they have no real incentive to provide the standard of food or service they would if they were competing for your money at the time. If you are staying All-Inclusive and you don't like what they provide, then you can't do much at the time as you have already paid. However, if you are staying B&B, the hotel knows that if you don't like their food or service, you can take your money elsewhere.

There are plenty of hotels that won't accept bookings from children, but you must know the good hotels in Majorca as you have been there so often.

Have a good anniversary next year and congratulations.
i stayed at a really nice hotel in cala san vicente which is just outside puerto polensa in majorca.
the hotel the don pedro was really nice with lovely beach in avery quiet little resort.
lovely coastal walks and the water on the beach was so clear it was absolutely beautiful.
my mother has since stayed there twice and found it great too.

Morning,
Havent stayed all inclusive in majorca but have done at the Nana Beach hotel in Hersonissos in Crete (through Tui UK) and cant fault the all inclusive. A main buffet restaurant and a beach buffet restaurant serve all the meals, breskfast lunch and dinner, along with a poolside buffet for lunch. Loads of choice, main meals, pizza from the pizza oven, salad bar, breads, special dishes cooked infront of you by chefs, amazing! Also self serve drinks in the restaurants so no waiting for the waiters! also 3 poolside snack bars serving burgers, rolls, chips etc all through the day!
the best thing about the hotel is that they have a greek, italian and cretan restaurant where u eat free (still on allinclusive) but have to book. This is excellent as although the main restaurant food is good, these restaurants specialise and give u a break from the buffet style as they are waiter served.

sorry if iv gone on, but this hote is fantastic, been twice, returning end of July! awesome place to celebrate something special ;)
we stayed at hotel jupiter in majorca a couple of years ago. All inclusive.

We only went for a week and I wish id gone for longer! it was fabulous. the food was good, the people were great, as was the hotel. would definately recommend it
sorry i forgot to say it was in alcudia, lol
Try the Flora aparthotel in Puerto Pollenca, we were there full board (not all inclusive) and the food was fantastic!

I'm not sure if they do all inclusive but it is definitely worth a try, good food, fantastic resort, good accommodation and location within the resort!
iv just come back from an AI holiday in majorca alcudia i stayed in the bellvue hotel, i must admit the food was basic but not so bad that it wasnt enjoyable, reviews i have read have said the food was revolting and i was dreading going on holiday but when i got there the food wasnt that bad at all, i think its just people been a bit ott , when you go abroad there food is always different from english food ,now isnt that the reason we go away to get away from english tendancys.
give it ago hun xx

Hi driverdale1,
I live in Mallorca and have noticed in the local press over the last couple of years that the local bars and restaurants have been complaining that 'all inclusive' hotels are affecting their trade and have tried to close them down.

Mallorca has changed a lot in the last 3-4 years, many large hotels have been replaced with smaller hostals and the development of apartments now have the restriction of only 4 floors. It is trying to counteract the problems of the 1970's and '80's when the areas of Palma Nova, Magaluf and Arenal were 'over-developed'.
Mallorca is no longer a cheap Spanish holiday destination... the investment in marinas, luxury spas and beach clubs is attracting the 'mega-buck' spenders!

I personally do not know of any really good 'value-for-money' all inclusive hotels, but sadly know of several not so good ones.

Please do not be dissuaded from returning to this beautiful island, but consider a cheaper hotel or hostal in a vibrant area with lots of bars and restaurants. Eating out here is good, the quality faultless and with real value for money. The competition amongst the restaurants is spoiling us regulars, why stick with hotel food?

If you need any help ... [email protected] you just need a little 'insider' assistance.

Good luck
