sorry realised i have posted this in pregnancy.
You certainly don't have to change your name, but I think it will be very confusing if you partially change it. If you don't change your passport or your driving licence, it'll be very hard to provide ID in your new name.

All or nothing I'd say. When I did it I used an online service which was really useful. Can't remember the name of it now, but I can search if you're interested.
There are no hard and fast rules about changing your name. You don't have to if you don't want to.
I know loads of people who have either not changes or partially changed. I think the only one it caused a problem with is a Canadian friend who's kids have her husbands surname and she has to take permission from him to take them into Canada if he isn't there.

Maid up can you remember the online service?thanks
You don't have to change your passport but remember if you are booking a hol to put your maiden name on tickets.
I didn't change my name when we got married so use my previous name for everything. However, in my will it says my name also known as my name as if I'd changed it! Remember to update your will - marriage seems to overrule old ones.
I pretty sure this is the one I used. It cost £20 - £30 but did make it a more organised process and helped me to make sure I included everything.

See what you think.

PS Forgot to say CONGRATULATIONS and I wish you both a very long and happy life together - what ever you decide to call yourself!
Ditto re the congratulations.
