Mini dv tape to pc?

Hi, how can i convert the mini dv tape and play it in my laptop or pc? I know , I still have all the ancient type to record, but also new one, so now I try to convert all of my tapes and be able to copy it into my dvd or cd or even transfer it into pc. Thanks in advance for the answer.

Hi,
Type " mini dv to pc " into ebay and there will be people selling leads with built in converters and a cd for the software for around a tenner. very simple, I just bought one myself.

Best way is to capture from it into Moviemaker .. or any other good video editing prog.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try firewire...im not so genius in this kind of stuff, but willing to give it a go..
