Any thoughts on this

http://www.marksandsp...5807&pf_rd_s=center-3

For a young lady of a similar type as the model, who lives in jeans but likes pretty tops and often wears short cardigans over longer sweat shirts, and likes a bit of glitter!! Doesn't wear jewellery.

lol

lofty are you regretting asking this in here yet?
So ... back to that cardigan !
lottie, given her personality, i like both but maybe prefer the 2nd. one
its very nice, it looks nice as a top in its own right or worn over a light
t shirt/vest
the second one looks problematic, she will always have to wear something underneath as its very short, probably unsuitable to be worn on its own as a top as it will keep riding up.

Ha, ha. All I wanted was some advice on a cardigan and look what happens!!

I still like both cardigans and they are right for her - am rethinking!! Perhaps a cheque would be a better option!!
Question Author
Jayne, she has a nice neat little figure with a trim waist and nice bum and looks good in her jeans!
I'd go with the second one Lottie..............I'd wear the first one so not so good for a young 'un.

I preferred the first one and I think I'm still a young 'un - well sort of! :c(
Like the second one...the first looks a bit 'smart' and sensible....could see Felicity kendall in the second one the first was more margaret thatcher
I think she'd like this one Lottie... leave the price tag on :o)

Thanks for all the further comments. Nice cardi Robinia, At that price I would expect the bling to be the real thing!!!

I really like the second one and might still get it, but the reviews let it down. Perhaps will try the market next week!!!

(I like the first one too China, but the second one does look a bit 'younger' and probably more suitable.)

Thinking now about a Top Shop voucher!!
At least with a voucher she can choose what she wants.
Just referring to "cut and shunt", it is actually "cut and SHUT". And, Lofty probably some cash is best, it's too hard to buy clothes for another person!
LOL at the whole thread Lofty. I hindsight I suppose its unlikely you'd get any help from CB - there are too few "young ladies" here for a start.

My two penn'arth says go for the second one. But I'd avoid buying clothes as a gift as its such a personal thing and a lot of money to spend if its wrong.
give the gift, with an envelope containing the receipt, can be exchanged if needed.
Blimey Bruno Notonyournelli. I prefer the second one, but young people have their own style and wouldn't shop a M&S, probably Next or H&M, give her the money and let her buy her own.
Been in Marks this afternoon with my friend, we both commented how awful their knitwear is this season, not flattering at all, really chunky thick knit sweaters and huge heavy long cardis which make even the slimmest person look fat! Haven't the prices gone up a lot too recently?
Question Author
Update.

I bought the second one as M&S had 25% off knitwear and I had a £10.00 voucher to spend.

It is very pretty and very her. Hardly knitwear though, just a pretty very lightweight little cardi. Size 10. It will suit her and if she doesn't like it then I will send it back and she can choose something she likes from elsewhere.

Ann86, I agree that prices have gone up, but I personally love all the thick knit big sweaters that are fashionable this year. I have invested in a few which look great with leggings and jeans (my staple wardrobe is leggings/jeans/tunics and huge long jumpers!!)

Thanks for your input peoples.
