Last night I had a phone call, although I had the same phone call about 6 months ago, asking for the previous owner,we brought this telephone number with us from our last house,so how do they put my phone number and the previous owner together. When I challenged him about this he put the phone down, there was no number when i did 1471.Is there anyone I could get in touch with to get this sorted.

Are you in the latest phone book? A bit of reverse searching could reveal the current phone number for your address?

Are you in the telephone directory?

No ex directory
Try googling your telephone number and see what comes up, you might be surprised.
razza 7 years ago we moved into our house and set up a new account with BT as there was no phone. Within a couple of days we started to get calls for another family (who we later found out lived in the same village but not actually near us). I complained to BT and they refused to do anything. We still get calls for them occasionally even now. We've been very angry about it.
We have had the same number for about 18 months now and we still get calls (debt collectors) for the people who had our phone number before. It doesn't matter how many times I tell them that the number no longer belongs to those people, the same companies still ring back a week or two later.
I've even had people ask me if i'm sure i'm not Mrs. Susan H*****y. lol
