A musical shoe box box
A man carrying a shoe box under his arm walked into a pub and placed the box on the bar.
He ordered a small whisky half of lager and could he have a little water.
While the barman was attending to his order the man removed the box lid and fetched out a beautiful miniature Steinway grand piano only 4 inches high but perfect in every detail. He then fetched out a matching piano stool.
He than drank most of the whisky leaving just a trace in the glass added an equally small drop of water, and then had a drink of his lager
The man then tapped the box and said " You can come out now, your drink is ready" and out of the box clambered a little man. No more than a foot high and immacutely dressed in white tie and tails he looked the perfect concert pianist.
The little man took the whisky glass in both hand and drank, he then sat onthe stool and began to play beautiful music - Chopin Mozart etc.
The barman who had been watching open mouthed finally found his voice and asked "Where on earth did you find that
The man replied "I always holiday in the Middle East each year, and I like to walk along the beach before breakfast. One night last year there was a severe storm and a very high tide but it had cleared by morning so I took my morning walk. There was a lot of rubbish washed up on the beach and I idly walked through itand found an old stoppered bottle. I picked the bottle up, removed the stopper and a plume of smoke came ou and a bleddy great genie 40 feet tall bent down and picked me up and bellowed " two thusand years I have been trapped and you have freed me. I will grant you one wish, say the word and that which your heart most desires will be yours""
"What! said the barman you wished for him?"
"No" the man replied " being in that bottle had affected his hearing,He must have thought I said I wanted a 12 inch pianist"
