How did they get the poor dog to pant like that - do you think he was actually drugged?
Schmeichal is the best actor in that programme LOL
Yes I welled up a bit, brought back sad memories..Chesney and Kirk played it very well.
no dog, but very sad, poor chesney
Cried like a baby and not ashamed to admit it!
must admit that I shed a tear, brought back memories for me too!......

Yes brought back sad memories for me too even though my lovely dog (border collie cross aged nearly 19) died 40 years ago........ it was so sad having to have him put to sleep. It was the first time I saw my father cry.
I shed a tear too. Really felt for poor young Chesney, even though he was only acting.
I had to miss Corrie last night . I could not watch it .I had my lovely faithful Lab put to sleep this time 2 years ago.I know it is showing the right thing to do but sorry could not watch it too upseting.
There will be a big hole in Chesney's life. Poor Schmeichal...........and bloody good acting too. give that dog an award!!
Being a dog lover and having lost dogs over the years, yes I unashamedly wept and yes Ann I too was worried about the way the dog was panting, not really impressed with that.
The 'panting' had to be obvious so that it would carry more impact when it slowed to a halt.......

I imagine the dog had been trained to pant like that for the short time we actually saw him.....and the rest was a repeated sound loop.
THANKS FOR THE SPOILER ALERT!
Aw, now i know that the dog died even though it was pretty obvious it was going to happen.
When can i see the repeat on tv and where?
I've just watched it and yes it brought a lump to my throat, reminding me of the animals I have loved and had to put down, so sad.
