Aren't you a lucky lot! Lots and lots of points because Regal Roslyn's first choice was never matched and her second choice proved very popular.

Regal Roslyn's chosen pairings were:
VENUS FLY-TRAP
WIND SURF
CROCHET HOOK
MAGNETIC STORM

Beejay1124, as the first entrant, was first to match FLYTRAP, then within the rgulation 2 minutes, rockfordill, Dinkypuzzled, ulysses100, grannydi, owllady , Strix & centrino all claimed 2 points.

Four minutes later, slaney found CROCHET HOOK for her 2 points, which together with FLY-TRAP gave her 3 points.

Nearly three-quarters of an hour passed before Brenden discovered MAGNETIC STORM (along with FLY-TRAP) also for 3 points

So what about the last link? How long did it last? Almost an hour into the game, at 9:59 BigMac elected to go for WIND SURF (as well as matching CROCHET HOOK) for a total of 3 points. I was surprised wind surf wasn't a more popular choice.

See you all there.
Until then, Happy Linking,

Before I get inundated with requests, The link that you all failed to match was VENUS EXPRESS.
Google it - very interesting information, but obviously not known to regular MM Links players (including myself).
Thanks gen2!
Thank you gen, cannot believe i scored 3 points when my usual is nil or maybe sometimes 1.
Thanks gen2 and Regal Roslyn..
I was rubbish!
Thanks, gen2, never heard of Venus Express before, just had a look and fascinating.

Sorry to read of the bairn washed off Kirkcaldy pier.
Question Author
Strix, it was not a pier, it was the sea wall alongside the esplanade/promenade. The sea wall is 4 feet high, the bairn was 3 years old. According to a local resident, the child's mother had sat the bairn atop the sea wall where the waves (high spring tide) were smacking against it. Not surprising it was swept off. I was in Kinghorn at the time so wasn't around to Blip it!

Re. Kirkcaldy Esplanade.

This is what it can be like at its worst:

Thank you for the clarification.
I will leave comment to others.
Thanks RR and Gen2. Obviously having an extra four hours to think about it made not a scrap of difference! Well done to all points scorers.
Thanks, gen2 and Roslyn.

I'm beginning to get a nosebleed... ...

Congrats to all the scorers and good luck, everyone, next week.
That's like the sea where I used to live near Brighton - it never ceased to amaze me that parents would take their youngsters down there "to look at the waves"....

Thanks for the results, gen2 - a resounding zilch for me again!
Question Author
Brighton Boxtops? That was where I was born and lived for my first 18 years.
Thanks to gen2 for the launch due to my poorly computer & well done everyone! See you all next weekend!
Thanks Roslyn. I'm enjoying sharing your Australian adventure.
Well, rubbish again from me this week. I'm definitely not on your wavelength, Roslyn! Will try again next week, after all I can't do worse than I am at the moment!
Well done BigMac and all the other scorers.
I'm still on 1...better than freefall I guess.

Thanks to regal Roslyn and gen2
