Want to go somewhere different for Christmas shopping and a day out, shops are similar, but are there any second hand bookshops, there? I am an addict. Or any other towns better, thought about Stratford but prob too posh, I LOVE Cambridge, but its too far, maybe 25miles (roughly) radias of Birmingham. Thanks

we are going to Oxford on the 2nd December for a Chrissy weekend BP, theres about 16 of us going, I would imagine Stratford to have lots of those type of shops with books etc :-)

Second hand bookshops - you need to take a day trip out to Hay on Way, bookshop mecca!

I love books. My husband took me to the bookbarn once. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Where's Hay on Wye? Must organise a visit there some time.

Hi bagpuss63,wherever you go why not visit Charity Shops? Some have a good selection of all kinds of books at reasonable prices.I love books and have found some excellent ones. Daughter wanted to buy me a kindle but no thanks.
