exhaust valve

hi, i looking to buy a pipe that goes to the back of the exhaust on my bmw 323i it holds a valve on one of the back pipes closed or open at high revs, does anyone know what it is called

Yes .. That is the butterfly control valve .. and controlled by an actuator ..
