Hi...does anybody know how many hours you
have to work before qualifying for maternity leave
my daughters employer has cut her hours to 10
a week,she was working 20 hours is there anything
underlying here do you think?

well spotted, chris - I didn't see that wording, but it's what I expected.
when my colleague took maternity leave, her maternity pay was based on the last 13 weeks wages so depends when she takes leave.

It looks possible that her hours reduction might mean her weekly pay is too low for her to get Stat. Maternity Pay. However, if that is the case she may well be entitled to Maternity Allowance.
