My new wi fi kindle keyboard is on its way. I am now wondering if I should have got the 3g version and have been reading that there can be connection problems with the BT Home Hub. Before I get it out of its box, does anyone have a home hub, did they have problems connecting. I am not an expert on the Home Hub and would not want to mess about with it. If I ring BT they will say it is Amazon's problem. Shall I see if I can get an exchange for the 3g version if it is going to be a problem connecting.
Thanks.

I have the ordinary version of the Kindle and a BT home hub and have had no problems at all.
No, You'll be fine.
In the unlikely event that you hit a problem, you can get help on here, and from Amazon.
And of course, you can also connect it to your computer using the USB.

Thanks put my mind at rest. I am one of these people that whenever I get anything it always goes wrong. Hopefully this time it will work.
I have a wifi kindle and home hub and no problems connecting. the biggest problem I had was setting the connection password, but that was down to me more than anything else.
I have the 3g version and I have free instant access to the internet from anywhere in the world without worrying about connection. I think it's well worth paying the extra.
"I have the 3g version and I have free instant access to the internet from anywhere in the world".

Yes, friend of mine was on a tour of the Panama Canal, so while there he bought a book about it via 3G. Mind you, if he'd waited a couple of hours he could have used the free wifi on his cruise ship.

Personally, I doubt I'd ever use it, because (a) a wifi connection is never far away, and (b) I find it much easier to browse and purchase from Amazon on a PC.

The only time I wished I had 3G was when I was on the beach, got to the end of a book, and was offered the chance to buy the next in the series. But even then, a 50 metre stroll put me in range of the free wifi of one of the beach bars.

Oh wonder of wonders it has worked I am now connected through my BT Home Hub. Thanks for all your comments. Very interested in what you say Rojash, sounds as though I made the right decision. Off to purchase my first book.
bet it won't stop at one. I ended up downloading a lot of the free ones, a load of samples, and books I'd read in my past all within two days. Great that when you get fed up with one you can switch to another in an instant.
...and don't forget to check out Project Gutenberg, which also has loads of free (out of copyright) books.
