The space required around the machine should be shown on the product details but we have one in our kitchen and have it right up against the cooker on one side and right up against the wall at th rear, we've had no problems at all.

yea i agree i have one next to a wall and freezer. i think the idea with a condenser is that they can be put anywhere, they dont need a hose so dont need to be fixed in any one place. I have had mine for 3 years with no probs, had to have a new something fitted and the engineer came and moved it out and he didnt say anything about where it was fitted so must be cool, i mean cool as in ok not cool as in cold, ha ha Hope i have been a help Heather
We have ours next to the washing machine under a built in shelf up against a brick wall in our sun room and have never had any problems.
I have just changed from an outside vented to a condenser and mine is sandwiched between a washing machine and a fitted kitchen cupboard. It works okay, but I need to clean the filter every time I have used it and keep an eye on the water container as it seems to take a long time to dry the clothes. So I don't think it is as efficient as my prehistoric vented tumble dryer.
