Hi, all - just wondering if anyone has any bright ideas for my situation. Someone gave me a load of "crab apples" (I took their word for it!) so I made some chilli jelly. When it didn't set, I was a bit concerned as usually I'm ace at jelly making, so I had a nibble of one of the apples I still had left over & it turns out that they're not crab apples at all, but little, sweet, eating apples! Now I've got 4 jars of un-set jelly - has anyone any ideas what I can do with it (polite ones!!) or any recipes for sweet chilli dipping sauce? Ta K. xx

Just put it back in the pot, bring to a boil and add 1 package of Sure Jell or other powdered pectin per each 8 cups of the jelly micture... mix the pectin with about 1/4 cup sugar before adding to the apple micture and then assure it's thoroughly stirred in. Bring it back to a boil for about a minute and re-jar it in clean jars... Be sure to use fresh lids, not the old ones...
