I few days ago I had just arrived at Asda with 2 young children in the car and parked in a parent & child space. I had already got 1 child out and she was stood at the side of the car next to me while I got my baby out. This woman who was parked in the next spot to me (also a p & c space) said "can I open my door"? As I was in the middle of undoing straps and needed my door open I thought how rude but stopped what I was doing to close the door and let her open hers. Then I noticed she didnt have any children with her so I politely mentioned that she was in a p&c space. She immediately started swearing and shouting, all in front of the children, and told me she would park where she effin wanted to! Then I was still getting the baby out and she started her engine up and it was obvious she wasnt going to wait for me to move so I was forced to wait and get hold of the toddler too before she mowed her down stupid cow! She reversed out and was still shouting abuse loudly at me out of the window. Called me a effin stupid b1itch! I was left with such a nice feeling of happiness and thought if only all fellow citizens were so friendly, dont you agree? :)

She sounds lovely Tig... there are too many people like that who think that they can just do what they like.. really tics me off :|
Some people can be so rude.. my mum is 53, disabled and fully entitled to her blue badge. You should see some of the looks she gets when getting out of the car, as if she is too young to be disabled or something. She gets them told though lol x
RedHelen has obviously never been shopping with very young kids.
Whatever the rights and wrongs of this, surely it was wrong of the woman to shout and swear in front of children and still be effing and jeffing as she drove away ....
Sounds to me like she mouthed off because she'd been caught out parking in the wrong place. A bit like the woman who gave me a rollocking because SHE walked behind my car with her kids when I was already reversing out of the space, reversing lights on...
Things like this make my blood boil! You must have felt awful! If I were you, I would have taken her licence number and reported her for road rage, which I think this would probably fall under. The CCTV cameras may well have given the proof you needed. There are special parking spaces for certain circumstances for a good reason! And even if there were no other parking spaces available to this stupid woman, she should still not have been so agressive and rude to you! The whole point of the p&c and the disabled spaces is that it can be very difficult to open the car door wide enough to get children out when parked in a narrow space, without hitting the car parked beside you. The same goes for disabled spaces. I need to open my door to its full width to get out as I can't bend my knees as non-disabled people can. Why is this so difficult for some to understand???
Red and purple, try imagining yourself in these circumstances! It isn't that easy!
I'd have put the children back in the car and Glasgow kissed her.............
Glasgow kissed her? .... Never heard of that before, but I have an inkling as to what you might mean, lol!
'to a certain degree I agree with her - why should you have special parking spaces just because you have children!'

So the same goes for those with disabled parking badges then?
