I read about this lady who has kept every text message she has received since 1999 - and is publishing them all in a book. I wish I'd done that but i have got some old diaries in the wardrobe and I love getting them out every now and again to see what bothered me and things that happened that i might have forgotten about plus the words you used back in the day. Have you got any interesting texts you've kept? Or even better have you any funny stories lurking in an old diary you don't mind sharing with us? I think I spent a whole two months writing about a guy called David and I read diary entires now about him and can see clearly see he was in no way interested in me but when I was in the moment I was so oblivious! I find myself giving myself a good talking to giving "Zammo he's just not that into you"!!!

Entry from my diary 16 Sept 1993 - relating to work. "spent all afternoon sending telexes (reams of telex tape everywhere from the teleprinter) fax machine on the blink and organising video conferencing" Gosh, how times change!
i've kept some funny ones and some naughty ones but mainly i leave them on there until my phone complains its full then i moan about having to delete them
whats all this nonsense with naughty texts ? is it a woman thing ?
Just at random from my diary September 1990 "booked holiday to Fuerteventura 2 weeks self catering £216 each" - how I wish those prices were still with us!
I have never kept a diary and I delete text messages straight away if I don't need to refer to them again. Similarly, I delete emails, unless I need to go back and refer to them for important reasons.

What I need to remember is in my head, and if it is gone and then it is forgotton.
Naughty texts....I've received more than I've sent. So it's a man thing as well. We just send each other abuse now :-)
I've got some old texts on my phone, the oldest is a funny one line quip from my youngest son & next oldest is when he reached John O'Groats after cycling from Land's End.

I've got some letters that I wrote to my mum (and she kept) after we married & had our first son in the seventies. They're a lovely reminder of son's progress...and how damned poor we were! :o)
