Hi

I am currently going to hydrotherapy after having a spinal fracture and only have 2 sessions left. It does appear to be helping me and I was wondering if anybody knew if attending aqua fit classes would be a good idea. I know the water in the hydrotherapy pool is a lot warmer than a swimming pool but there is nowhere with a hydrotherapy pool other than the hospital.

Do you think aqua fit is a good idea and how intense are the exercises? Might it be 'too much' at this stage?

Thank you :-)

aquafit is utterly exhausting. But why not ask your physio when you go for your hydro?
I go to aqua-aerobics once a week, not sure what aqua-fit is, is it different? It's low impact but it is hard work although not as tiring as a normal aerobics class. I had a hip op earlier this year which I'm all better from now and there are still a couple of exercises we do in aqua-aerobics that make me wince a little bit so I think you might a bit as well. I would talk to your physiotherapist.
Looking at your latest avatar CD...........do you mind if I unadopt you?
A hip op earlier in the year and look what she can do already ^

Whatta girl! ;-)

Hi

Thanks everyone, yes I am sure it is just the same as aqua aerobics just my local swimming pool decided to give it a different name.

I think I'll speak to my physio first.

Thanks again :-)
I think that would be a good idea but ask the physio. You can always drop out or rest during the exercises they're not meant to be boot camp stuff!

Yes, I think I'll do that johnk. They can't force me to do anything I might be struggling with!

I'll check with my physio first though.

Thanks :-)
