Chris
I would think that you stay over night (you do when you join the TAs - they run you ragged all day and night!).
One of my grandsons did this a week ago he went to Edinburgh and stayed overnight in barracks
You go one day, stay overnight, come back home next day, and they pay your rail fare from your nearest railway station and for the return journey.
Good luck Tomas123. I hope you make it. Let us know.
