Onwards and Downwards Continues

The school holidays seem to bring much temptation for those with kids around.

Why not start them off right and give them the healthy snacks you are having and maybe just have one treat a day after dinner.

It is tricky to stop the little tikes sneaking the "good stuff" though.

Hello Xstitcher, Wendilla and the gang. I'm up 3 and a half pounds over my goal weight. I don't know what to think. I was away for a week last week and had full English breakfasts every morning, but I did walk a lot every day. I thought it was ok to have big breakfasts. And the walks were tiring, so I don't know what I've done wrong really. It's very disheartening, as I'm an extremely slow loser. Has anyone got any revolutionary tips?
Hi Notafish it is so easy to gain and having full breakfast EVERY morning will add to it . There is a possibility that because you were on holiday you were having other things that you don't normally have. But you have done it before and you know what to do to get it off. I don't have much room to preach as I have not done very well this year .I got 2 stone off last year no problem but I have come to a standstill with this other stone I want to shift but I have given myself till end of Nov to shift it .
Good luck

One has to walk a heck of a lot to work off a few calories. That said, although it has been quite a few years since I last got away, when I last did, and when I'd returned home from hols, I discovered the "Full English" in the morning didn't put on the weight I'd feared. But that said I was always late getting up, and so lunch tended to get skipped, or was something very small. Heat tends to make me want to eat less anyway, and mid-day in the Med tends to be rather warm.

My advice (although my record so far recently has not been that great) is to just clamber back on the lower calorie intake once again and see if you can shed the gained weight.
Hi Notafish, I can just back up Wendilla and oldgeezer....a treat now and then is fine but every day.....nope. unfortunately it just doesn't work that way. If you keep up your sensible eating and your good exercising you will soon get rid of those bacon and eggs . Good luck and onwards and downwards.
Hi Wendilla, Old Geezer and Xstitcher, thank you for your advice. I see now, that having full English EVERY day was pushing my luck. You're right about burning off calories, Old geezer, it does seem like you have to do an extreme amount of exercise just to burn off one biscuit.
