Hi

have just bought a two pairs of linen trousers, the washing instructions read that fabric softener mustn't be used - why?

It can destroy some good linen.....stick to the instructions...

Something to do with a chemical reaction which destroys the fabric........

You shouldnt use fabric softener on towels because it stops them being soft.x

fabric softener seems to damage viscose too
