My son has been dating this girl, for about 3 weeks - he has brought her home tonight earlier on, then I thought he had taken her home a little while ago, but she is now back and staying the night, he never told me, but told Mr. Den, who said nothing, (typical man) - I am not happy about it - I don't want to cause a scene. What would you do ?

Den!!! Hes mine! Tell her to get out lol xxxxxcx
As said, your house, your just put together rules as it was not discussed with you beforehand, if he gets away with that, what's the next surprise?
Hope all is going well in the DEN household this morning/afternoon. Here's my tuppenceworth....he's 21, an adult and he had permission from Mr Den so in his eyes there's no problem. You on the other hand do have an issue with it and are perfectly entitled to feel that way. I reckon that a proper, calm, sit down family meeting is needed. You ALL live in the house so what goes on in it affects you ALL therefore you ALL need to be on the same page where house rules are concerned and don't let Mr Den leave it all up to you :)

*LMAO @ boxy "What if there were to be a fire?" I totally get what you're saying boxy but it didn't have make me LOL.
Set the Fire Alarms off DEN, that should shift her !! lol ol
A 21 year old shouldn't really be living with his parents.

Afternoon All - quite astounded at the diverse opinions since I left the thread last night. Still haven't spoken to him, as he and said girlfriend, left before I was up and about this morning. I will save 'the talk' for later on when he returns. (:o(

JJ - where do you suggest he lives then ? he couldn't afford to rent somewhere at this present time.
Oh! JJ i moved out then back in and im 24 now! Cant afford to move out! Im skint as it is here at home x
Son is well out of order here, I'd have knocked on bedroom door, walked in and turfed them both out for taking liberties

If he didn't like it he could lump it

Also tell Mr Den it's time to man up
Maybe though, joeluke, it's okay with Mr DEN, you seem to forget it's his house too- one of them has to be unhappy about it either DEN or Mr DEN- so whose to say which it should be?
What joeluke said ...
So would you seriously be happy notasyoung with your wife taking a unilateral decision not to allow your adult child to sleep with their boyfriend/ girlfriend in your own house when it's perfectly fine by you? I would personally find that really embarassing.
Yes !
These days young people aren't moving out until their 30s, jj the cost of housing means they are better off staying at home
