Stealing an idea off Love Film's facebook page.
Seeing as it's Bastille Day, let's celebrate the great things France has given us...
For me it's;
my fave film, Irréversible
the fantastic football of Zinedine Zidane (I know he's Algerian but still..)
the fantastic form of Eva Green

lol triggs that would do me for a 'French' night in..............Yannick, some brie and champagne.
And would have been my Mum's birthday, she used to always remind us it was Bastille Day on her birthday from when we were small. Can't get to her grave as the car is poorly sick : (
Oh, just remembered about a French fella I knew once. Hmmmm.......................... memories of a fight over me. It only ever happened once!!
2 years ago today we were in Vannes for Bastille Day - what a fabulous experience that was. We were moored right in the middle of the Town Centre - they really made a big deal out of it - a whole 3 days of celebrations with all the townsfolk dressed up and re-enactments, ending with the biggest & most fabulous fireworks display I have ever seen.

We trotted along the ramparts and staggered back to the boat very merry indeed. Would love to go again.
I au paired in France! Twas many many many years ago.

gotta say as well, La Marseillaise is a particularly rousing national anthem.. maybe not quite as rousing as the theme to Dogtanian and the 3 Muskahounds but close!
trigs stop it, i'm singing that theme tune now
Triggs, I loved that programme - used to watch it on a regular basis when Master LL was a kid.

Now I am singing it too.
