whats your favourite sauce for steak?
do you have any simple ideas for a nice sauce?
or any for any other meat.

I make a easy sauce with phili, mushrooms, onions and mustard that always goes down well with a nice fillet or ribeye but looking for other ideas.

Peppercorn or garlic butter or plain English mustard for me.

An ex made me a lovely one with stilton and mushrooms, gorgeous but quite rich so needs to be used sparingly.

I love the sound of yours with the Phili.
a homemade bearnaise with frites...a homemade peppercorn with a pan fried ribeye.....a homemade bbq sauce with a bbqed steak and the recipe stays semi secret.....
Oh! Diane sauce for me every time, I just love it!..........feel hungry now!....lol......
Ooh I got distracted by someone else mentioning stilton, I think it was actually brie he used!

The phili one is simple. I just fry off some slice mushrooms until brown (can have onion in too) then add a little bit of colmans mustard and a load of phili. I then add milk (cream too heavy) until required consistancy.
Lottie, would you cook one for me just like that, please? :)
Just a light sprinkle of salt - if you've got good beef, why drown the flavour!!
Aberdeen Angus steak with a Port & Stilton sauce. Mmmmmm. Flippin' hungry now.
Naked for me, a good steak has such a lovely flavour it doesn't really need anything, maybe just a little garlic butter if you insist.
Home-made bearnaise sauce for me....yum!
