Can a hole for cat flap in double glazed door be enlarged ?

Hi,
Had a cat flap fitted in a double glazed door but really it's too small. Can the hole be made bigger so a larger cat flap can be fitted, or have I got to spend another £175 for a 2nd pane of glass ?

it might be possible to take the pane out and take it to a glass merchant to have the hole recut worth asking locally especially the place the glass came from originally

Not if it is a double glazed unit, as once you have broken the seal, the unit would need to be scrapped.
