NO because he has used the land with your permission. http://www.legalcentr...e-possession-of-land/

Thank you Dennisb66, I will sleep a lot more relaxed tonight.cheers.
If He is trying to take it from you or starting to think He now has rights for the land Just make it clear to him You own the land It has always been yours the whole time you alowed Him to use it free of charge and If he starts being funny about it then mention that you may start asking for rent from now on.See how he likes that.

Thank you Ravid. The Farmer is not trying to claim the land, as of now ,,but i have heard the usual gossip etc ,that he could claim the land. thank you for your reply.
People have a lot of misconceptions about acquiring rights to land, it's nowhere near as straightforward as many people think.

Maintain, and evidence where possible, that he is using the land with your permission (is there any kind of written agreement in place or even other terms of him using the land?).

You might find this quite recent case interesting - http://www.propertyla...sessionpyegraham.html

I remember a lot of buzz coming up about adverse possession when it came out and it coincidentally concerns letting land be used for grazing. Obviously there is a lot more complex legal argument and individual facts than in this summary but you may find it interesting and if you google Pye v Graham you will find lots more information.
