I do wish they wouldn't make so much noise when they hit the ball - I understand about effort and aggression psychology but in my day they could play good tennis a great deal more quietly

Iim on your side in this. It is an annual conversation in my household. To the point of, I dont watch ladies tennis anymore. I also see it as a form of cheating and/or who can grunt the loudest. Same as, do they really need to wipe their brow with the towel after EVERY point played? Afterall most of them wear sweatbands on their wrists and in some cases on the heads as well.
