I don't know how to link to YouTube from here, but if you follow the above you'll see a very amusing (and breathtakingly dangerous) incident in which, thankfully, nobody was hurt.

I thought all racing bikes were designed to cut out if rider fell off. Obviously I was wrong.

scotman, indeed the two throttles' springs should have released when the riders were off, but by a fluke these locked together. The funniest and most frightening bits were the two riders dancing around the machines, at first in the path of other competitors. Should have been red flagged, instead the only marshal intervention was a waved yellow when the incident had moved off the racing line! Still, c'est Magny-Cours...
