what sort of plane, looks like a military one, has 2 prop engines on the right wing and only 1 on the left? It's just flown over our house.

I'd say it's one thats lost an engine!
Maybe WelshYorkie will know as he is ex-RAF !
The only multi engined asymmetric plane I can think of is the scaled composites boomerang, but that only has two engines.

Are you sure the fuselage wasn't blocking your view of the forth engine?
mightWBA is right on that is real trouble
A plane with only 3 engines - simple - one that's in danger!!
Once saw a plane like that, can't remember what it was called, but it was a twin engined plane and the extra nacelle contained cameras. They are used by mapping companies apparently.
