Program Compatibility

Installed Microsoft Office Pro 2003 on Windows 7. Program will not open on hard drive....says it can't configure it. Anyone know what I can do?

You need to install Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 to work on Windows 7 and then install the compatitability manager to acess files from previous editions of office

Okay thanks. I read somewhere that it could be used w/windows 7 but haven't been able to make it work.

Office 2003 should work fine with windows7

Are they both genuine products?

As Chuck says my 2003 works fine on W7 just a thought you have taken the installation disc out?

Chuck... my windows 7 is genuine but my office 2003 is a copy. Think that's the problem? I've installed from the cd several other times but not on windows 7.

davethedog....no I hadn't taken the cd out yet.
