Power rake on lawn

I have a Suffolk Punch petrol cylinder mower and a scarifier cassette attachment. As this attachment is more like a power rake rather than an industrial scarifier, how often should I use it on my lawn to remove moss, thatch and other bits of debris like bark chips?

My lawn is normally professionally scarified once a year in the autumn, so this is just to keep on top of things.

Also, can you over-rake a lawn?

My husband uses ours fortnightly... and its great!!! MUCH MUCH easier than raking by hand and will keep the lawn nice and healthy!
You wouldnt need to have it professionally done in Autumn if you do it yourself though! Save the money and buy some plants instead!
