Photos appearing out of sequence

On my digital photo frame, and on my iPhone, some of my photos are out of order despite the names being in alphabetical order.

I was wondering if the sequencing is not based on the name of the photo, but on some other aspect of the embedded information.

If it helps, the photos which appear to be ‘out of sequence’ are ones which have been taken with a different camera than usual.

Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?

There is usually an option to 'sort by' in the menu. This can enable sorting by name, file size, file type, date etc. It may be that it is currently in 'date'. Change it to sort by name and it will be sequenced in alphabetical order.

Thanks Arti, but the mystery is that they are already sorted by name. It's very strange!

Have you tried changing it to sort by date, then changing it back to sort by name?
