I'm due to upgrade my phone next week. I want either a Nokia N8 or a Sony Ericsson Experia Arc. I know that the Nokia has a Symbian operating sytem, and the Ericsson Android. I'm not sure which to go for - I've heard that android has really poor battery life. I want to make sure I get what's right for me as this is a 2 year contract. What are the differences and which in your opinion is best ?

Which? says: Nokia N8 - excellent features especially camera but Symbian operating system lags behind rivals
Arc - Thin, impressive screen and 8.1 Mp camera but small internal memory and processor may not match ultra-new dual-core models
I have no experience of either, so.....

Erm yesss..... mainly because I didn't know which place was best to post it.
I would go for the android, symbian seems to have a lot of problems

I can buy an 8 mp camera quite cheaply if I need one
I have an Android phone and I like it, battery life is poor on both these types of phone Im afraid....

I had a try with a Blackberry, didn't like it much. Found it a bit fiddly and not as easy to use as a Nokia or Ericsson. The Blackberry Torch was on my shortlist to begin with, my friend has one and it's a pretty sturdy piece of kit. I ruled it out for the reasons above, perhaps I should reconsider ?
