i took the morning after pill on the 2nd april, within 12 hours of a condom split. my period was due yesterday, (but to be honest i'm normally early if anything), but i have not even had any tell-tale signs that my period is on its way.. my breasts are swollen and painful, could this just be due to the excess hormone used in the post-coital pill??

" i have not even had any tell-tale signs that my period is on its way.. "

Errrm isn't this a sure sign it could be on its way? "breasts are swollen and painful,"

In any event, pee on a stick as above

i don't normally get any breast 'issues' with my period, just oily skin and teary moods, which i've not had.

i'll get to the chemist, thanks for your help!

Just because you dont normally get the symptoms you describe, they can change at any time

Will it not be too early to take a pregnancy test?

Anyway with the morning after pill it can make your period late. I took it a couple of months ago and it made my period 4 or 5 days late I think.
Only way to tell I suppose is to take a test but if you'd rather save the money/awkwardness of having to buy one you could wait and see if your period comes within the next week.
