BA is also my airline of preference and I find them to be very good. Their website is fine once you know its quirks - but I agree its not always the easiest to navigate!

ok i´ll eat humble pie old_labour and bushbaby_de if you help me find at least one flight. all i´ve been trying to do was just get a quote, i´ve tried booking flights at all times of the year, and still i get the red written message telling me to try again. it seems you need the patience of a saint.
piggynose - I always look at the timetables for the route first to make sure I'm choosing days they actually fly, cos this can make the search function get all messed up!
Question Author
hi bushbaby, please tell me how you look at the timetables for the route to see what days they fly.
Where are you going and what date?
As you haven`t answered my question - click Flights and Holidays, click Our routes and timetables, Click timetables
^^^^^^^^what they said lol

well 237sj & bb, i´ve tried doing what you said, and now seems like nothing changed, the same ineffective information regarding trying to find suitable dates to depart and return. My conclusions are that BA must be either running a limited service or are overbooked.
for fecks sake all i want is a quote, that isn´t much to ask for, is it?
237sj. you asked me when i want to go, i´ve tried every date possible For yr information i wanted to travel from madrid to birmingham uk
why is other airlines dont give you thos much hassle?
and the customer service want me to make a telephone call on a premium number!!
Hi Piggynose, Before I moved to Wales and The Cayman Islands I lived in Birmingham and do not recall seeing many, if any, BA flights from BHX. My guess would be that even changing somewhere it is not possible to fly BA from MAD to BHX. I would suggest you use one of the many sites, like opodo.com and you will find plenty of possibilities. For example, I remember flying from BHX to to Nice once quite cheaply with Lufthansa, changing planes in Germany. Then, of course, there are some Budget airlines that probly fly to Spain fly from BHX that you could consider. I wish you success.........
piggynose if you are trying to get a flight with BA from Madrid to Birmingham you are wasting your time I`m afraid. BA don`t fly into Birmingham. They used to have a Birmingham base which was closed about 3 years ago. I don`t think they ever did BHX-MAD though. The best you will get on that score is to go MAD-LHR and then it`s going to be the train or the good old National Express.
