Do American and British CDs have Regions 1 and 2 like the DVDs? Can they play on CD players on both sides of Atlantic?

No, they don`t have region codes.

Thank you. So I can order CD's from USA.
Yes. Canada used to be cheap for CDs. They`ve gone up a bit in the last few years due to a worse exchange rate. Might be worth checking out.
Don't think so. I've sent my US cousin loads of CDs which he's managed to play with no problems.
Hi

I have over 13000 cds of which a good 2500 have come from around the world, they definitely do not have coding, but if you buy a special edition with cd and dvd then there might be a possibilty that the dvd might be region 1

Why are you buying from abroad? I have almost stopped buying from the US and Canada due to the fact that what you save in the price of the CD is outweighed by postage to the UK

A couple of good sites to try for new and used items are: www.cdnow.com or one that has been the cheapest over the last ten years and trustworthy is www.secondspin.com but dont buy the dvds as they are R1

However if there is something rare you are after let me know, as that is what i do all day long :>)

Cheers
where on earth do you store your 13000 cds??
