although a good series with excellent cg's
i found< personally Brian Cox hard to look at, it was this constant smile on his face while he's talking, silly to say but it annoyed me to the fact i had to look away when he was on screen at times
i know he's won two awards for his presentations and good luck to him
but i wish he stop smiling so much lol

Handbags at dawn Robinia?
(guffaw) Patrick Moore in a Rock Band...the mind boggles!!
Take note of the smile! :o)
I am the same as you Jack, can't watch him.

Well mrs o my handbag's got a hefty lump of meteorite in it so no one stands a chance! :o)

(...actually it probably does, there seems to be everything else in there)
as said, even in person, and i have been to a couple of his presentations, he smiles. its just his expression.

i like the way he delivers with enthusiasm it can be quite infecitous. i feel the same about iain stewart (geologist) who i have also met on a few occasions. it gives me a renewed interest in the subject matter that lay dormant for quite a while.
I hope he gets knighted. He has brought science to the masses and is so modest as well. Long may he reign!!
I am so glad I saw this, have been ashamed to say exactly the same, although he presents his subject wonderfully, that painted on smile effect is quite disturbing. I realise it is his facial structure but makes me cringe a bit. Even his voice has a smile.
Well, I suppose it's better than having a natural bad tempered expression!!

I do understand how some feel about the smile, but he seriously can't help it.

It's people with false smiles that make me cringe!!
I agree it is not false, but......... I do like him.
Not smiling here, but he sure looks sexy

I think when he speaks the smile comes, the teeth are smiley too!!
No that wasn't Brian Cox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's a good chap but i think his programs all seem to cover similar stuff. And personally he constantly sounds as if the program is about to end...but then it caries on.
Jeepers, NoMercy snaffled Johnny Depp from me, now Mrs O and Robinia are sharing Brian.

I must find someone tasty for meself :)

We had a powercut but couldn't think of anything to do with OH.

If he stops smiling, then it's the end of the universe.
I agree Ankou. Both Iain Stewart and Brian Cox keep me glued to the set.
I agree he's eye-candy & those plump lips!! Oooooo!!

But pleeeease don't smile.

'' He's supposed to be dead sexy but I can't see it myself. He always looks like he's just walked out of the 70s. ''

Remind me - was the 70's -
- The decade of the flowered shirt with the flowered tie with the big knot , made out of the same material from the shirt

- Platform shoes

- Oxford bags trousers , with huge waist band
There was an advert some years ago where Patrick Moore was playing rock guitar. It was brilliant and no doubt influenced by Brian May.
