The series link for the F1 kept getting messed up last year as they kept switching it from BBC1 to BBC2 so it didn't clash with other things, so its likely you didn't do anything wrong at all! There were also a lot of races that overran that the series link didn't catch either. We set them as manual recordings now to make sure we definitely get everything!

Did you only set it for qualifying? You have to set it for each program and the qualifying is a different program to the actual race.
Did Sky have any rights to show F1 races - though that this was the domain of Aunty Beeb.........
Is the qualifying classed as a different program to the actual race e.g. does it show as a separate program on the Sky planner?

If so you'll just need to set the qualifying as 1 series link and the actual race as another.

Think of it as recording the News. If you set the planner to record the News at 6 it wouldn't record the News at 10 as it is classed as a different program.
Sorry shedman, you just beat me to it.
Same idea though.

I did say I was female - doh, yes I did series link for both separately. I watch and record F1 on the beeb through my skybox, I can't cope with too many remotes - did say female remember. Thanks for your answers but I am still puzzled and will keep trying.
In that case I'm surprised it didn't work (you did scroll down to make sure it wasn't on page 2 of your planner.......sorry, have to ask!)

Give it a try on the 1st Grand Prix this year and let us know how you get on.

OK Will do Johne1982, I am in the UK the day before 1st race (if it happens) and oh yes I did check not just the 2nd page but about 4 pages, I record so much rubbish then have to watch it to make space for more, just don't seem to watch anything "live" anymore, all series links seem to work for cr*p and not the important stuff :-)

And DT - yes it is on the beeb but this doesn't stop you using Sky+ on it.
Its not just you, i had the exactly the same issue, and i am a tech competent male, but enough of an F1 fan to know when the races were and remember to record manually. Hopefully it clears itself this year, if not will be trying this
