According to this article, it would seem that the whole of the troubles we now see breaking out in the Middle East is mainly due to the friction between the two faces of Islam, the Sunnis and the Shi’ites.

Although it doesn't show yet, could we have a future problem with these two factions in this country?

Hi AOG,

I just want to drop this excellent joke in here: http://www.theanswerb...s/Question996182.html

Are you posting in the wrong topic Ed...tut tut :-)
Simply not. And the reason for that is that there are no CIA agents to inflame anything like that in this country. Well, so far.
I just hope the Methodists and the Evangelicals don't go down the same route

Nice one ED. even though you are encouraging some to diverge from the main subject.
There is likely to be a lot of tension between the Shiites in Britain. Iran is 85% Shiite and Armadinajad seems intent of causing trouble in Western nations as proven in Iraq
I think we will.

We already know there are some Muslim clerics who want to overthrow our own goverment, and as they get more power, (as I believe they will), especially if they are Shi'ites, they will start to discriminate against the Sunnis,

I think its just a matter of time.
you mean the way we've had conflict between Catholics and Protestants? I think it would be silly of us to speculate without a complete understanding as to why such differences are creating conficts.
