Can I measure my Gigabyte Usage?

I am currently on AOL unlimited, at times PC is on from morning to night.

BT are making an offer with a 10gb usage, I take it for a month, so how do I measure my usage?

I use this and have it on my PC for measuring usage. Very handy and Free.

If you search on this site using (Internet usage) theres quite a few bits of info on the subject
I used to use this: http://www.paessler.com/prtg6/download

It's particularly useful if your router supports SNMP, as it will allow you to monitor all traffic up and down, not just the traffic to and from your PC - the difference might surprise you...
