Apparantly due to previous incidences, when our phone number rings 999 an alert should come up on the screen in the call centre place saying that this'll be a proper incident and not someone mucking around with a cat stuck up the tree, so we should get the police coming round quicker than they normally would.

15 minutes later . . .

It's possible that they've gone to the other places to try and catch them though . . .

i cancelled a mobile phone contract, and they've now charged me can i cancel the direct debit so they don't get their hands on the money?

We weren't in emmediate danger but they're trying to catch these people as quickly as possible. They never did come - they possibly went to other places they are known to be, but someone rang up later on, saying someone will visit us tomorrow.
