Can anyone tell me what the word "COTCHELL" means, I presume that it's London speak as I have never heard of it before and yet I heard it mentioned twice yesterday on old re-runs of Fools & Horses where Del Say's to uncle Albert "go to the market and get a cotchell of tulips" and also it was on Minder where Arfer (Arthur) says to terry "load this blokes cotchell in his motor" I have looked it up on google and in a dictionary without success.

Thanks for that snags, it's been driving me mad but looked at the last answer in your link and it seems that it means "an odd bunch or load of anything" which would fit in with the TV bits, but I have to ask how on earth did you find that question from so far back? (but glad you did)

being an old cockney I was always taught to believe it meant a parcel i.e. a cotchell of watches, and I think it meant "hookey" gear only.
